The gas analyzer pump is the heart of a gas analysis system. It has to reliably transport the volatile and aggressive sample gas, often containing water vapor and potential condensate, from the sample point to the gas analyser. Therefore, it is essential to employ only highly resistant materials, avoiding coatings and glued parts, for this application. The design of the pump should also be well thought out. The pumps used in the field of gas analysis must be robust, compact and easy to service. In order to achieve these requirements it is advisable to use application specific pumps rather than standard pumps.
The ATEX approved P 4.x series is an ideal choice for this application. It is based on two separate pump heads powered in parallel by one motor and is capable of delivering high volumes with an optional bypass valve. The pump head is designed with a PTFE diaphragm to handle highly aggressive and corrosive gases. The pump is also suitable for explosive atmospheres in accordance with the ATEX regulations. It is available with 115 or 230 V AC 50/60 Hz power supply.

The PSP87 is a diaphragm sample gas pump for continuous extractive gas analytics. It mainly serves for unadulterated sucking and pumping of highly aggressive and corrosive sample gases from the sample point to the analyzer house resp. analyzer. Typical applications are emission measurements e.g. in waste incinerators as well as process measurements e.g. in chemical, petro-chemical, steel-, glass- or cement-industries. The pump is equipped with a PTFE diaphragm and a welded steel container. The patented design offers very good tolerance to aggressive and corrosive media as well as to vapor and condensate.
